The York Medical Practice

How Do I... Obtain Telephone Advice?

Doctors and Nurses will take telephone calls after their morning surgeries from 11.30am to 12 noon and prior to their afternoon surgeries that run between 2.00 - 2.45pm.

How Do I... Obtain A Home Visit?

We can only visit at home when medically necessary. It takes a Doctor four times as long to see someone at home as at the Surgery. So please come to the Surgery if possible. However, if you feel that you need a home visit, please telephone the Surgery on the direct line (Tel 020 8607 3924) before 10.30am and one of the Doctors will return your call. Please tell the Receptionist if you feel your problem is urgent.

How Do I... Obtain Test Results?

Please allow a week for results to reach the surgery. Results can be given over the telephone between 4.00 and 6.00pm by a trained Receptionist. The Nurse or Doctor will ask you to come in for more complex results. Please note it is your responsibility to get results when your Doctor arranges a test. Always check personally - never assume a result is normal.

How Do I... Make an appointment?

The practice currently offers both 'on the day' and advanced appointments. Reception can advise and provide a leaflet with full details
